We are nestled right where the official Piedras Blancas National Park hugs the warm pristine waters of the Golfo Dulce, in what Nat Geo has called “the planet’s most biologically intense place” - the Osa Peninsula and its surroundings. Come swim with dolphins and whales, or perhaps hike into the rich rainforest in search of life, nature’s melodies, and a waterfall complete with its own freshwater dipping pool. Ride a horse into the wild while monkeys hang mischievously above you, or make your own farm-to-table meals from our gardens and property. Bioluminescent Night Cruise
Take a night boat cruise and swim to experience the bioluminescent glow in the sea, which occurs due to a fascinating chemical reaction when algae clash with oxygen or motion. Bioluminescent dinoflagellates produce light using a luciferin-luciferase reaction. The luciferase found in dinoflagellates is related to the green chemical chlorophyll found in plants.
