Carla Calderón Orocu
Naturopath & Holistic Nutritionist
Born and Raised in Costa Rica.
Carla grew up in San Carlos where she spent her childhood harvesting tropical fruits, such as Guanabana, Cas, Mamón, Pitahaya; a place where she developed her interest for tropical fruits and nutrition.
At the age of seventeen she moved to Argentina to finish her High School at an Art Academy; a place where she learned about “Art Therapy”.
From a very young age Carla’s hobby has been to cook; so after High School she went to Boulder to get certified as a Holistic Nutritionist; there she also studied Clinical Herbalism and got certified as a Master Herbalist.
Since her grandfather was a Homeopath she learned all about Costa Rican Folk Medicine Making from a very young age; therefore after she became a Holistic Nutritionist she decided to study Naturopathic Medicine and Iridology in London; just like her late grandfather did.
After that she came across an Naturopathic Acupuncture training in Spain by ECAN; and she enrolled and did her Acupuncture Practice in Bali.
Carla has also taken many courses in multiple areas such as Auricular Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Therapeutic Pendulum, Flower Essences; etc.
She fuses all those different alternative practices into holistic therapies.
Her workshops consist of different therapeutic approaches for one to be able to create our Own Holistic Therapeutic Protocol.
Subjects include Flower Essences & Art Embodiment, Holistic Nutrition and Mindful Cooking, Herbalism and Medicine Making, Reflexology, Auricular Acupuncture and Iridology.
Currently she has a Bee Farm in Puriscal; and still is very passionate and committed to her Dragon Fruits.
